The 2021 Weyburn Rotary Music Festival will look a little different this year due to guidelines set up by the Saskatchewan Health Authority (SHA) and The Saskatchewan Music Festival Association (SMFA).
Our goal is to run a LIVE MUSIC FESTIVAL for Piano entries.
Several safety precautions will be put in place at the Venue to ensure the safety of all individuals.
Only participants living in the Weyburn District will be eligible to enter due to SHA travel limitations.
If the SHA determines that a Live Festival IS NOT a viable option, we will convert to a Virtual Festival where all entrants will record their performances and submit them online for adjudication.
We will announce by February 15, 2021, if the Festival will be Virtual and entrants will have until February 28, 2021, to submit their recordings. Specific instructions on how to record and submit videos will be provided.
The Vocal and Band Disciplines will be run as a Virtual Festival due to the masking requirement for singers to perform live and the SHA limitations for playing wind instruments.
Participants will record their performances (unmasked) and submit them for adjudication by March 7, 2021.
Specific instructions on how to record and submit videos will be provided.
Please check our website (weyburnmfa.webs.com) and Facebook Page (Weyburn Rotary Music Festival) often as changes may occur due to SHA restrictions.
